Lifetime Arts to Offer “Creative Aging During COVID-19” at Louisiana Arts Summit

This workshop was offered to Louisiana teaching artists and arts organizations interested in adapting the Creative Aging arts education curriculum model for remote delivery.

On September 30, Lifetime Arts’ Director of Education, Annie Montgomery and Education Associate, Julie Kline, facilitated an interactive, virtual session titled, “Creative Aging During COVID-19,” as part of the 2020 Louisiana Arts Summit.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop was offered to Louisiana teaching artists and arts organizations interested in adapting the Creative Aging arts education curriculum model for remote delivery.

Participants learned how to use both synchronous and asynchronous delivery methods, receive tips on addressing accessibility issues, and discover ways to ensure that older adult learning principles are honored in any format.

About the event

This five-day event, hosted by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge in partnership with the Louisiana Division of the Arts, took place via Zoom from September 28 through October 2, 2020 and offered artists, arts educators, and community members the opportunity for discussion, networking and professional development.
