Changing the way we age isn’t a solo act.
Lifetime Arts’ theory of change is built on the belief that equipping leaders at every level of influence with the right tools and support can transform how we perceive and experience aging, making creative aging an integral part of everyday life.
Our approach combines grassroots impact with systems-level transformation. We empower teaching artists and community organizations through training, resource sharing, and ongoing coaching to deliver arts programs that foster social connection and lifelong creativity. Simultaneously, we advocate for policy changes and build multi-sector partnerships to establish creative aging as a vital part of public health. By embedding these programs in diverse community settings—from libraries to health facilities—we aim to expand access, change narratives, and ensure older adults can thrive, live creatively, and age with dignity.
We believe in the transformative power of partnerships
Coalition-building is at the heart of our approach, ensuring the long-term sustainability of creative aging programs. By partnering with a wide range of stakeholders—from local artists to national policymakers—we amplify our collective reach, pool resources, and foster innovation. These collaborations allow us to tailor programs to local needs and create rich, multifaceted experiences for older adults, ensuring creative aging is an essential component of healthy aging.
No matter what sector you are in, you probably have older adults in your orbit.
The question is, how are you best serving them? With the number of people aged 65+ set to increase significantly, it’s more essential than ever to create multi-sector aging plans that meet the needs of the whole person. Creative aging is a crucial part of this approach, fostering connection, well-being, and lifelong learning.
