Community-Word Project, a New York City based 501(c)(3) arts-in-education organization that inspires children in under-served communities to read, interpret, and respond to their world and to become active citizens through collaborative arts residencies and teacher training programs, has invited Lifetime Arts to be a member organization of the Teaching Artist Project (TAP) Cohort.
As part of this cohort, we will work in partnership with leading arts education organizations from across the city. We will promote and facilitate Creative Aging program training for teaching artists who are new to working with older adults. It will be exciting to engage in dialogue and share resources with arts-in-education organizations that want to expand their missions to include of older adult learners. We look forward to connecting with our peers in the cohort and are thrilled to know that Creative Aging programming is becoming a huge priority for arts organizations based in NYC.
